ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM
The conference will be held in the city of Cluj-Napoca, which can be reached by plane. Cluj-Napoca is a medieval town in the heart of Transylvania. Participants in the conference may enjoy visiting the old churches (the Gothic Church of St. Michael; the Matthias Corvinus House, which hosts an ethnographic museum, a 15th-century Reformed church, etc.). Visitors can also spend quality time at the theatres and operas in town, art and history museums, movie theatres, restaurants and pubs.
The weather in September is generally warm, with temperatures around 14 degrees Celsius.
Aim of the Symposium
The aim of this international conference is to promote best practice in teaching and learning Geography. This conference offers specialists and practitioners within the educational system both the possibility of sharing their best practice experience in teaching for an active learning, and that of analysing the features of teaching and learning focusing on the development of critical thinking abilities. The conference is open to practitioners and researchers from the pre-university and university systems of education, interested in realising quality interactive teaching activities.

Payment of the conference fee
150 Euros for participants outside of Romania. The fee covers the conference materials, the conference volume, the Diploma of participation, coffee breaks, lunch and the departure dinner.
The name of the participant will be included in the conference program only if the payment of the fee is done until the 9th of September 2011 in an account number which we send the paricipants immediately after acceptance of paper registration. during the conference.
Publication of the conference proceedings
The proceedings will be published in a volume in June 2012 . Articles will be accepted and published according to the evaluation of at least two referees. The languages of the volume will be the language of the conference which you submitted your paper.
